Red Bank is a “cool little town” from the shopping, restaurants, theaters and cultural events to the beautiful sweeping views of the Navesink River from the multiple parks. Boating, sculling, sailing, and fishing are popular outdoor activities in and near Red Bank; in the winter, ice boats sail on the Navesink when it freezes over, as it did in 2009. The Monmouth Boat Club, Marine Park, and the slips of the Molly Pitcher Inn provide access to the Navesink and, from there, Sandy Hook and the Gateway National Recreation Area, the Jersey Shore and the Atlantic Ocean.
The homes vary from apartments to sprawling estates and everything in between, with a majority of the town being built out in the early 1900’s which adds a lovely “old town” feel to the architecture. There are multiple events held on the streets and parks of Red Bank including the Oyster Fest, Sidewalk Sale, Holiday Express, Wedding Walk, Movies in the Park and multiple monthly and weekly activities as well. There is no shortage of things to do and being within 10-15 minutes of some of the best beaches is just another perk! Major transportation from this gem in Monmouth County is another perk, as you have access to NJ Transit Buses, Trains and the Seastreak Ferry with access to NYC and major roads as well. Monmouth County is eclectic and has towns like Red Bank and Asbury with lots of cultural flairs, beautiful seaside towns, national forested parks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Come to see what this cool little town is all about. Voted one of the best small towns by Smithsonian Magazine, come to see what all the buzz is about.
